How to highlight/format a cell when an excel worksheet is searched for a value?

How to highlight/format a cell in excel worksheet when you search it for a value? I.e. when i find a cell with some value, the cell containing that value is highlighted with a different color or text in some other color.

Hello,

I hope I am understanding your question correctly. What should work for you is doing a conditional format on your entire worksheet. Follow these steps:

Select all of the worksheet by clicking in the box that is just to the left of the “A” and right on top of the “1″. It’s the box in the top left of the rows and columns that is not labeled anything. By clicking on that it will highlight everything on your page.

On your top menu you will want to select FORMAT –> Conditional Formatting. This will prompt you with a dialog box to complete. If you are looking for the cell value to be equal to 105, enter that information. You then select the “Format” button which will bring up a prompt that allows you to choose fonts, text size, etc.

After you hit “OK” twice any cell that has your value will be formatted the way you asked it to be.

Please feel free to e-mail me through my Yahoo Answers e-mail prompt.

Good luck!
