Access full lesson containing this video at: http://www.yourteacher.com/algebra2/complexfractions.php Students learn that when simplifying a complex fraction, the first step is to find a common denominator for all the fractions involved, then multiply the numerator and denominator of the complex fraction by the common denominator to get rid of all the fractions in the numerator and denominator. Next, factor the numerator and denominator, and cancel out the factors that are the same.

Access full lesson containing this video at: http://www.yourteacher.com/geometry/factoringquadraticequations.php Students learn that the first step in solving polynomial equations is to set the given equation equal to zero, the next step is to factor, and the final step is to set each of the resulting factors equal to zero and solve each equation. This process usually yields more than one solution, so the answer can be written as a solution set. Some of the problems involve factoring a trinomial into two binomials, and some of the problems involve factoring a binomial as the difference of two squares.

Access full lesson containing this video at: http://www.yourteacher.com/prealgebra/percenttodecimal.php Students learn to write percents as decimals and decimals as percents. For example, to write 82% as a decimal, think of 82% as 82/100, and remember that dividing by 100 moves the decimal point two places to the left, to get 0.82. So 82% can be written as the decimal 0.82. Since a percent can be written as a decimal by moving the decimal point two places to the left, a decimal can be written as a percent by moving the decimal point two places to the right. For example, to write 0.4 as a percent, move the decimal point two places to the right to get 40. So 0.4 can be written as 40%.
