    I think it’s interesting, if you think about it, how the whole process works. You’re actually secretly using the distributive property. So 234×643 can also be written as 234(600 + 40 + 3) = 234×600 + 234×40 + 234×3 which is what we’ve been doing all along in that shorthand algorithm… Whoever came up with that algorithm was a genius lol.
