    Then, in keeping …
Then, in keeping with the fractal nature of….er nature, repeat this process of going back to the singularity, up to the present and into the future in a loop.

  9. mos619 Says:

Well you zoom in on …
Well you zoom in on a mandelbrot set and you get variations on the original pattern though the general theme remains throughout and the original reappears within the more complex patterns. Though I think that way of puttin it is a bit off the mark since it is a continuim. I think in order to find some sort of direction we’ve got to follow the chain of events from the singularity all the way to the present moment and discern a coherent theme, bearin in mind this theme is alive and evolving

  18. slauge Says:

    And of course there …
And of course there is no obvious counterproof to the statement that perhaps it is time to change. We may formulate the laws that govern nature, and we may pinpoint the behaviour that has been most conduce to progress and evolution in the past, but what was right then may not always be right for tomorrow, so it may not be wise to stick to it. Some one would even say that such intransigence is precisely the kind of lack of adaptation that evolution frowns upon.

  19. natt6178 Says:

    I really dont know …
I really dont know how to respond your argument is true, we have had to try to survive so much to get where we are, I cant say that conflict hasn’t made us where we are today, Maybe its time we changed? Surely you can agree that there would be far more advances if less money was spent to defend and kill and more on other things, The Japanese a flying ahead in technology, is it because they had to fund other things instead of armies? Maybe, If we all headed in the same path maybe we could be more

  20. slauge Says:

    Conflict and …
Conflict and rivalry are the very essence of progress and evolution. That is why they are at the core of market based economy(which is arguably the variant proven to be most conducive to progress), politics, religion and the strength of nations.

It is the fundamental driving force of all life, and no, we were not evolving before conflict. We have always been at conflict, as long as there has been life.

It is correct that the weak are only weak because the game has thus defined them.

  21. natt6178 Says:

    I understand how it …
I understand how it might seem that way and Darwins great survival of the fittest, But could we of not helped the ‘Weak’? And fighting hasn’t forced us to evolve we was evolving just fine without conflict, wasn’t we? Think about the weak are only weak because humans have made it that way by fighting each other, I mean there is enough food for everyone, but we prefer money to peoples life, so we throw it away? We fail in giving education, we create the weak, nature provided for us all, didn’t it?

  22. slauge Says:

    Fighting each other …
Fighting each other has actually helped our progress greatly. Weeded out the weak, forced us to evolve. Conflict has created necessity, and necessity is the mother of invention.
