I seriously think that 'out there' in the Quantum world, in that first fraction of a second after the Big Bang, there was heard an unceremonius "Ooopsie!"......
References :
Are now gearing up to test the Large Hadron Collider? Are you mad! They are conducting tests basically everyday with our Beautiful Large Hadron Collider.

I believe two tiny Atoms smashed together. A massive Bright light appeared and the Universe Inflated to A million times it's size and just kept expanding.

My other theory is that it's Eternal, Forever here, Had no beginning or no End.
References :
In the first fraction of a second after the big bang, there was a very bright light, then the expansion outward of the super hot gases.
So there you have the first second of the big bang.
References :
Gloom & Doom

In the first few fractions of a second after the Big Bang the Universe underwent a period of hyper inflation where it grew millions of times its size.
