You can see 16/5/2 as 16 divided by 5/2.
How to solve it when an integer is divided by a fraction?
You multiply the integer with the fraction's reciprocal.
so, 16 divided by 5/2 is equal to 16 multiplied by 2/5

16 / (5/2) = 16 * 2 / 5 = (16*2) / 5 = 32/5

Other way to see it is simply as
16 / (5/2) = 16 / 2.5 = 16/2.5 * 2/2 = 32/5
References :
Multiply the numerator of the main fraction by the denominator of the fraction in the main denominator.

In the case of 16 divided by 5/2, multiply the 16 by 2 = 32/5 = 6.4

If you had 4 divided by 3/8, you would multiply the 4 by 8, giving 32/3 = 10.67
References :
So you are dividing 16 by 5/2...

1. 16 is the same as 16/1, therefore change your equation around and write: (16/1)/(5/2).

2. (16/1)/(5/2) is the same as (16/1)*(2/5) [I swapped the 5 and 2 around].

3. So (16/1)*(2/5) equals to (16*2)/(1*5) = 32/5
References :
Mathematical Methods Student

16/5/2 = 16/5 ÷ 1/2 = 16/5 * 2/1 (opposite of 1/2) = 32/5.
References :
when you divide by a fraction, yuo can multiply by the inverse of the denominator.

eg 16 / (5/2) = 16 * (2/5) = 32/5

eg y / (a/b) = y * (b/a)
References :
Um, I believe your teacher did this equasion wrong. 16/5/2 = 1.6, which is 8/5ths.

Confront your teacher and ask him.
