Even though these are basic vids, some people aren’t able to do a lot of simple calculations in there head they rely on calculators. I think vids like this are just as important coz if u calculate the wrong sum or put the decimal point in the wrong place your basically fudged. Keep up the good work bro.

I agree. I grew in a time when calculators (hand held), were fairly new and expensive. We were taught to use our mind, pencil and paper to work out the problems. Good exercise I must say!

I finished with all my Maths last semester at university/college.. I definitely would recommend to get rid of calculators preferably from high school. Last semester I forced myself not to use my calculator. It was hard at first and it costed me a LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT but at the end it was a great experience. I trust my memory more than I ever did before :) I proudly hate calculators now.

i always tell my students to throw their calculator in the river (or give it to someone else!)

Thanks for the video. I’m defiantly looking forward to one on dividing. I feel like I’ve completely forgot how to do it because teachers will always let you use calc’s when it comes to dividing anything.
